Overview
Worked in the audit technology assurance team to evaluate our clients' IT controls. I learnt about identifying risks associated with change management, user access control, segregation of duties, segregation of environments and logical security testing. Furthermore, I also learnt how to complete change management work papers and gather evidence during a client call.
Skills
I've honed my communication skills by effectively conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This includes writing clear and concise audit reports and presenting findings to clients in a professional manner. Developed strong critical thinking skills to objectively evaluate client responses and supporting documentation. Enhanced my ability to perform a thorough risk assessment through effective questioning and analysis of client controls. In terms of new job-specific skills, I learnt how to complete change management work papers for clients.
Responsibilities
This depended on the role, some interns from other teams were given client work right off the bat. However, IT external audit felt a little disorganised at first but we were given client work eventually.
Support & Guidance
My manager was very supportive, knowledgeable and very approachable. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
