Overview
First, I met my team and got an update on what stage the work is at. I'd be assigned a few tasks that typically involved filling in data from financial statements and earlier audit cycles into new documents. I also joined calls with my team regarding the audit and about PwC as a firm with its many opportunities and engagements.
Skills
I learned how to use the audit platform PwC uses, as well as simple analytical procedures related to financial statements. I developed my skills in reading and reviewing contracts and other documents.
Business Insight
It was very nice because most information was relayed by your colleagues who all either knew about or had already taken advantage of opportunities at PwC - this made the opportunities stand out as realistic career paths.
Culture
PwC is a very, very friendly environment and even if people may not know how to help you or engage you, they will be nice.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot, especially the social aspect and experiencing the work/office culture. However, the actual work tasks did not thrill me since they were quite repetitive.
Yes
Be open to conversation and don't be afraid to ask for more information, more tasks or anything else you're curious about. People will remember you well if you reach out.
