Overview
The day today role consists of checking in and out customers from their vehicles along with talking to customers both corporate retail and insurance customers on the phone. Negotiating with corporate accounts for debt collection and risk management by monitoring the cars that could provide to customers.
Skills
Skills I’ve learnt all; Improving in confidence, management skills, customer service, problem-solving and business operations.
Responsibilities
In the role I was presented with lots of responsibility working weekends required a smaller team, which meant decisions must be made by myself on how the business operates. Dealing with customer complaints requires to be dealt with by myself to make sure all customers are happy. I was given the opportunity of managing corporate accounts and debt collection which are extremely important.
Support & Guidance
I was giving a mentor allowed for me to shadow him however due to how busy the company was, it was difficult to meet up regularly. However, our branch level assistant managers Took me under their wing explaining the basics of running the business along with any issues I had they were the first person to provide me with an answer.
Culture
The company culture was very relaxed. All employees were very welcoming and the atmosphere in the branch was great. Having to spend a great deal of your time with other employees both one and one in cars and alone and branches built a great atmosphere and allowed to create meaningful friendships.
