Overview
Shadowing an existing team, and participating with their work where they deem it suitable. This enables hands-on learning and provides valuable work experience. Any work done is initially drafted, and reviewed by a more senior team member before being considered as complete.
Skills
Developed existing skills which I have from studying accountancy at university, and also learning new skills as my knowledge is being applied to real world situations
Responsibilities
Enough responsibility that I felt like a valuable team member making contributions to work, but any work carried out was reviewed by a more senior team member to reassure me that it was completed correctly
Support & Guidance
Was introduced to a buddy during the first week who is constantly available as a point of contact, and also have peer support from other interns. Have also been guided throughout the process by a career coach who has ensured I remain focused on goals
Culture
Very welcoming and everyone is very friendly
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed my time with the company and it has exceeded the initial expectations I had of the internship. The hands-on experience has been more than I expected but this has been very valuable
Yes
To remain open minded and reassured that recruitment will put you in the best line of service/ team that suits you and your skills
