    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Serving customers to check them in and out of vehicles. Managing a large fleet of vehicles to ensure they are ready on time and safe. Using online tools to review branch performance and looking at ways to improve that. Making admin calls.

    Skills

  • You certainly become a lot more confident and resilient as there are many difficult conversations. Your teamwork will improve as you have to work together. You will learn management skills. Communication improves across all fronts, between staff, customers, and other businesses.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • It’s a very young, vibrant workplace. Everyone goes out together, most people are friends outside of work. Everyone shares similar experiences and issues. However there is also a lot of Manager who have there close allies who they will always stick with. Some of higher managers can be nasty, strict, and unreasonable.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • If it wasn’t for the people I would have hated it. The staff around me were great, fun, and switched on. Work went really quickly the work itself is interesting for me. However the hours are ridiculous, I’m averaging 0745-1900 5 days a week. This leave no room for social life, and it’s advertised 0800-1700. There are changes out of your control all the time.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
  • If you want quick progression it’s great, but you will have to put serious hours in. They will intake from any uni and degree so if you’ve not done so well in the past it’s a great opportunity to get into business. You will be stressed, you will have no spare time, but you can make good bonus and make great friends.
