    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Was the first point of contact for all associates in Honda, so a lot of responsibility was given. We also got involved in various tasks such as management reports, payroll management, recruitment and onboarding. Was able to work with associates in other Honda branches in other countries.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • We had an effective 2-week and a half handover period with the previous undergraduates. Also had a handover book, which provided detail on how to complete activities. The team were also very supportive and very patient when we came into the job and always provided guidance. It was very easy to ask for help and support. The recruitment specialist was awesome and also very supportive.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Honda embrace respect for the individual within their workings. This creates a very comfortable and supportive environment. The team are always very vocal about improving wider knowledge and letting them know if you want to explore other aspects to widen your skills and experience.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I really enjoyed my placement year at Honda. I enjoyed the job role as I was able to get involved in all HR activities and had a very supportive team. I also was able to attend a Honda annual party and volunteer at the Honda England Rugby Match.
