Overview
Throughout the day I would spend half of my time delivering and collecting vehicles from corporate customers and the other half in the branch serving customers and working to improve the branch goals. Customer service was really important, as well as selling insurance to customers.
Skills
I got to develop sales experience as it was something I had little knowledge on. I also developed my customer service skills more as it was more, spending more time with them and giving them a more personalised experience. I also got to develop my driving skills and my time efficiency
Responsibilities
Yes I was responsible for my own customers experience as well as leading the team in specific areas for example being the claims manager in the branch. You definitely get to have a large say in daily activities.
Support & Guidance
Overall the support wasn’t terrible but I do think I could’ve received more support during my assignment period. I would probably ask the university to ask the company to give more time to interns to do some university work as Enterprise were told they didn’t need to give us extra time during the day. I do think that they could have still given me some time as I told them how much I was struggling with the work load. It is a good opportunity though to learn more about your own time efficiency and time management skills.
Culture
They definitely try to be inclusive and give everyone a fair opportunity. They have women in leadership days when is helpful.
Your Impressions
I definitely enjoyed it a lot due to making friendships and working closely with the team.
Yes
Be prepared to work long hours and in a fast pace environment but it will pay off in the end as the progression in the company is really good.
