Overview
I am in the Corporate Coverage team. On a day to day basis this involves a lot of client visits and admin work along side it. Meeting clients and helping them understand what the bank offers to support their needs is always rewarding and it is interesting to see the ins and outs of the business you support.
Skills
This role has really helped me with my confidence and presentation skills so far. When going on client visits it is important to stay engaged in the meetings and also make sure to ask revalent questions and show curiosity.
Responsibilities
I get given a good amount of responsibly. A balance between having a feeling of accomplishment when completing a task/ seeing the impact it makes and not too much so that I still have time to explore and learn about the different teams in commercial banking.
Support & Guidance
I have a graduate buddy who is always ready to support me and is very welcoming and kind and there is also a grad on my team. Apart from this everyone is really helpful when it comes to asking for help!
Culture
The culture is very positive and friendly. Everyone is approachable and easy to speak to. It is something that I really enjoy about my internship and something I look forward to ton a daily basis.
Your Impressions
