Overview
Working on multiple audit engagements. Involved in the same work as a new starting graduate. Attending team meetings. Induction and programme events.
Skills
Excel Audit
Business Insight
At the firmwide induction, there was introduction to people from all different business units and also networked with many people in different departments. Maybe a lack of awareness as to what they might do day to day but I was made aware of all of the different business units and the type of roles that they offer.
Culture
Everyone was incredibly friendly and willing to help throughout. There is a strong culture of "No question is a stupid question" and even senior members of staff are very approachable
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed it and it reinforced my desire to have a career at the company and a career in audit
Yes
Ask lots of questions, make your presence in the office know (at least with the team you are working in), and just be friendly, approachable, and always willing to help.
