The Role
Great people, different from other firms and a clear focus on career development above all else.
Was given a large degree of responsibility for creating a memo from scratch for internal knowledge and presenting it to the department.
Large degree of autonomy in research tasks but regular feedback.
Always had something to be getting on with to increase my knowledge base.
Responsibility for ensuring the department's knowledge on a new legal issue.
Research skills, presentation skills were built upon.
The Company
Open plan offices are always places where people can talk freely.
There were a few hiccups with room bookings but otherwise great.
A lot of focus on practice group presentations, which really helped me understand a) what work the firm did and b) how it all related together.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Part of a Training Contract Application.
The Culture
Everyone was keen to get to know one another and they really were our peers, not competitors.
It was London.
Vibrant areas nearby with bowling organised in Brick Lane/Shoreditch.
Yes. There were opportunities for CR events as well as attending talks from external speakers.
