Overview
Working underneath the senior brand manager to support on new product launches and marketing campaigns. This included briefing artwork into design agencies for our own website and other E-retailers as well as any point-of-sale. Working with lots of different functions like commercial and digital teams so a varied workload.
Skills
Learned how to manage my time efficiently and priorities different tasks as there were lots of different teams and functions I worked with. Also learned how to hit those important deadlines and the impact they have on the rest of the team. Learned there are different ways of working and how to communicate status/ progress updates on different projects.
Responsibilities
Yes, it was gradual but from the 6 month mark I was given more and more responsibility by proving I could hit tough deadlines and deliver high-quality work. This included owning a product launch myself by creating all the artwork as well as leading our biggest E-retail account, having monthly catch ups.
Support & Guidance
My manager and team were always really supportive. They were always approachable and happy to answer any questions I had, even if I felt they were silly.
Culture
The company culture is generally quite fun. There are so many interns each year so you can make lots of friends and have a social community.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to work that has a balance between the opportunity to learn so much at a well-established company to still enjoying your social side of the year.
