Overview
Valuing a range of properties, finding comparable evidence, researching planning matters, administrative and office tasks, site visits, attending meetings.
Skills
For any BSc real estate students, skills learnt at uni are very applicable to the role during a summer scheme and its a great chance to put theory into practice and see how it works in real life. Provides a great opportunity to build upon communication/public speaking skills, excel skills and research skills as well as writing professionally and making reports.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given real projects that I worked on pretty much as independently as any other member of the team would with guidance and support there if required. This gives an excellent opportunity to learn by working things out on your own rather than just being told what to do step by step and allows for your own individual style of working and your own ideas, even at the most junior level.
Support & Guidance
Loads of guidance and support - but you have to be willing to ask for it which is completely right for an internship
Culture
hard-working with a focus on achieving targets while being welcoming accommodating and fun at the same time.
Your Impressions
5/5. You get out of it what you put in, provides fantastic opportunities, is genuinely interesting and helps to build a great network within the industry.
Yes
Savills has a variety of personalities, you just need to be confident enough to show that you are competent and enthusiastic.
