Overview
Working on real work that customers will use. Integrated within an agile team following professsional software engineering practices. Working with cross functional teams to ensure high quality code.
Skills
Getting industry experience is a must for software engineer students as its very different to to what you learn at university. I have learnt lots of new technologies, such as AWS, Kubernetes, Grafana and Prometheus as well as professional skills such as public speaking, time keeping and communication.
Responsibilities
You get as much out of a placement with HPE as you put into it. They give you opportunities to take as much responisbility as you are comfortable with.
Support & Guidance
I got the experience to work with lots of experts in the field who are always willing to give you time to ask questions if you need help. But you are also allowed to make mistakes and figure out problems yourself.
Culture
Evrerybody was very friendly and treated me as an equal.
