    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Help support the team with topics relating to the customer experience. Produce monthly reports on social media, VOC and appeals data as well as running the VOC inbox on a daily basis.

  • I have seen my Excel Skills improve significantly as well my skills in criticial thinking and time management. My public speaking skills have also been worked on and I now feel slightly more comfortable voicing opinions in a more difficult setting.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was given sole ownership of the retail inbox and also became the go to person for a variety of data as well with reports. However this came about through unique circumstances.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Not as much as I would have liked at the start especially starting out there was a lack of direction and support in giving me tasks to carry out or more importantly maintaining my input throughout a task which meant I found it difficult to feel involved but after new team members and new leadership was implemented this definitely changed for the better.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • I didn't mind the company culture I found it fairly relaxed in the way we worked including the use of hybrid working which was beneficial and also everyone is very nice and approachable. Great people in good roles who are experts in their field.

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • Overall I throughly enjoyed my placement year at BMW as I definitely got a great taste of the working environment and started to understand what I found interesting in tasks as well as also how I could contribute and as I learnt more I found myself contributing and making open suggestions a lot more.

  • Get involved with everything you can dont be afraid to speak to people in different departments and voice your opinion it is often listened to. Learn how to manage your time and you will have a great and fulfilling time.
