The Role
I absolutely loved it!
Yes, the team was very welcoming!
A lot of support - always there for questions if I needed.
Really busy some days, others were a little bit quieter - but I was never bored, twiddling my fingers.
Lots, I did a lot of drafting and ended up taking on a lot of tasks myself that the trainee would have done otherwise.
I have definitely developed time mangement, organisational and communicaiton skills. Also the extensive interview process will help for the future too.
The Company
Sometime a little bit quiet, as quite a lot of the lawyers were away on business. But the PA's were always around for a joke and my trainee buddy was always around.
Very well organised, the day to the London office on the first day to meet everyone else from the other offices was well managed. All the practice presentations, meals out, drinks with trainess and partner lunches ran smoothly. However the interview day was quite unorganised, and was running behind by about 2 hours. However the graduate recruitment team, receptionists and the interviews were all lovely about this and kept us informed about what was happening,
I felt like everyone, even the partner in my team, helped me and made time to let me ask questions and discuss areas that were interesting.

I would love to work for Pinsent Masons! Just not sure whether I was good enough, the whole vacation scheme was of a very high standard.
The Culture
YES! All the placement students were very social and wanted to go out for drinks and meals etc.
It was in Leeds City Centre so it was prices that were expected for that, we did however get a lot of food and drink free on the social events. I had to get a train every morning, but this was not too expensive.
Leeds has really good nightlife!
Yes, we did a treasure hunt and there was opportunities to play hockey against a client.
