    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • An interesting job that has certainly helped develop many transferrable skills - would thoroughly recommend it.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Team were always very happy to assist / answer questions when in need of help - good atmosphere around the office in general.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Regular one to one's were held with personal development plans put in place and 360 feedback completed to review performance - manager's are always looking to develop you to the best of your ability.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Initially not very, however as the year went on and i learnt how to undertake different functions relating to my role, the work level increased considerably.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Once you've undergone the training and have some experience you're treated like a regular employee, which is great for those who are actually looking for some real work experience.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think it will be invaluable to my final year as well as attending graduate job interviews to have had a year's work experience in an office role.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Good atmosphere around the office - open plan office definitely helps give a more social feel.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Full 3 week induction upon arrival as well as monthly meetings with a member of the placement team to make sure everything was going okay as well as organise courses/workshops for further development.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Put on a resort trip to experience the product on top of a number of different course and workshops that were organised so i would say to a high level!

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    International Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • 4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Not around the palcements, however that isn't the placement scheme's fault at all and shouldn't put anyone off applying. Even if you don't get on with the rest of the placements there's still a lot of opportunities to socialise with other colleagues out of work.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Luton is cheap, but for a reason.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There's a mix of bars and a couple of nightclubs but are all fairly primitive. This once again shouldn't put people off applying as there's a variety of places down the trainline like St Albans, and even London is only 40 mins away!

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Variety of different events organised such as rounders/work olympics, as well as Optimus Primus the legendary work football team.

    4/5
