  • Shadowing partners and senior associates, completing tasks, attending workshops, talks, panels and drinks. Pitching project to Lloyds Banking Group. Conducting legal research on regulatory requirements and market trends affecting fund formation and management. This involved reviewing recent legal developments and selecting those to be send to the clients. Preparing advice memorandums for the team/clients. Assisting in the review and drafting of key fund documentation, including offering memoranda, subscription agreements, and partnership agreements. This gave me insight into the intricate details of fund structures and the importance of precise language. Observing client meetings and conference calls, where strategic discussions on fund structures and compliance issues took place. This provided exposure to client management and the practical application of legal advice.

I learned to draft documents with a focus on precision and clarity, ensuring they are legally sound and meet the client's needs. I developed skills in effectively communicating legal concepts to clients and understanding their business objectives. Legal Research: Conducting detailed legal research on regulatory requirements, case law, and market trends. This improved my ability to quickly and efficiently gather and analyse relevant legal information, which is crucial for supporting ongoing cases and transactions.
