Overview
I assisted the team with credit risk modelling for banking clients. This involved getting familiar with SAS and Alteryx, which were new programming languages at the time. The role also involves heavy use of excel for documentation. I attended frequent trainings on the insurance, banking and corporate/government markets.
Skills
Learned SAS, Alteryx and credit risk management. Developed my excel skills.
Responsibilities
I was given direct client code review tasks, allowing me to make a real contribution since day one.
Support & Guidance
Everyone on the team was always available to answer questions, no matter how insignificant. I was assigned a buddy and a career coach, as well as multiple project teams.
Culture
The company has a surprisingly welcoming and friendly culture where everyone is treated equally regardless of seniority. Relaxed work atmosphere in the summer outside of busy season, with flexible hybrid working. Social teams sometimes organise lunch/after work events, keeping the office a fun place to go to.
Your Impressions
The company culture and social events made work something to look forward to everyday.
