Overview
I was required to complete auditing activities such as existence and completeness testing, ETB’s, take notes on client meetings and generally work to contribute to my engagement and the team. I would be given around 3 tasks a day and I would complete these to the best of my ability, making sure my work was of a high standard and correct. I communicated well with my team and asked questions when I was confused.
Skills
I have developed my excel skills a lot and I have become familiar with EY specific software such as canvas and EYQ. I have developed my problem solving skills and communication and I have learnt a lot of new skills in auditing.
Responsibilities
I was given a good amount of responsibility to complete tasks correctly and coherently. I was trusted to work independently and complete the work to the high standards required of EY.
Support & Guidance
I got a lot of support from both my managers and seniors in my engagement who taught me the skills I needed. I was also supported by my buddy and my councillor who answered all the questions I had and were always caring about my welfare in the office.
Culture
The company was very positive and welcoming and everyone was really lovely. I felt comfortable immediately and this maintained for my entire internship
Your Impressions
