    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My role consists of attending sales meetings in the morning to discuss the plan for the day and specific issues faced. Then we are tasked with following up with current free trialists of the CRM to get them booked on for a demo with one of the sales consultants. We also call warm leads and attempt to get them signed up for a monthly webinar showcasing the software. The attendees to the webinar can then become potential users of the CRM in the future.

  • I have developed my skills of communication and time management greatly. I have needed to interact with colleagues and customers on a day to day, learning how to effectively communicate in meetings and persuade/negotiate with potential customers.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • We were given a broad spectrum of responsibilities during our placement. From managing our own potential clients and helping book trialists onto the calendar. We also given monthly KPIs to reach which was assessed by our manager, this increased the sense of responsibility.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I was given a lot of support and guidance during my placement. This guidance ranged from daily meetings with the sales team where I could voice my current concerns. I had a weekly catch up with my manager which added another layer of support.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture and atmosphere were very positive. We had regular social events and were able to get to know different colleagues in different departments. Additionally, we had monthly pizza Fridays which we could look forward to. All the placements interact with each other daily.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I enjoyed my placement; I gained some great insights into the industry and got a taste of what the corporate world of work is like. I also have gained vital skills that I will be able to take into the working world and other aspects of my life. The whole experience has been very eye opening.

  • Enjoy your time as a placement because the time will fly. Make the most out of the team you have, you can learn a lot from different individuals within the company. Always voice any problems/concerns you have your team and management will always be happy to help.
