Overview
The insight programme consisted of various master classes including building your own professional profile as well as strengthening soft skills. We ended the spring days with a strategic proposal to senior employees and pitched our ideas regarding a tax case study.
Skills
The insight programme allowed me to strengthen my communication and leadership skills where collaboration played a major part in the spring day.
Business Insight
Understanding the tax operations allowed me to grasp the multitude of different sectors the business has. From corporate tax to energy, the programme meant I was able to learn about many different roles.
Culture
Very enjoyable as I realised what an inclusive environment Deloitte was. This includes learning about the diversity networks and also the spring insight being a diversity initiative itself.

Yes
To not underestimate soft skills. Many believe that numerical knowledge is most important, and although it plays a role in recruitment, soft skills such as communication are what lead to greater communication and networking in the workplace.
