Overview
We were fully immersed into the day-to-day goings on in our allocated departments. Tasks included attending meetings and recording minutes, attending court and doing legal research. There were also scheduled lecture-style sessions where individuals from different practice areas would come and explain the type of deals/cases they worked on. We were able to ask questions at the end of each session.
Skills
I learned more about how the court process works, and about the role of expert witnesses in litigation.

Culture
Everyone was generally friendly, but people did not go out of their way to socialise after work. Only two TW lawyers turned up to a departmental drinks I went along to, which was disappointing considering the department is one of the largest at the firm.
Your Impressions
Overall, I really enjoyed my time spent at TW, both because of the interesting nature of the work available and the friendliness of the lawyers, up to and including partners.
