Overview
Management Trainee involving sales, administration, understanding cost control and understanding what it takes to run a profitable business and provide excellent customer service.
Skills
I have learnt lots of new skills ranging from developing interpersonal skills and teamwork to chasing bad debt and dealing with insurance claims. I have grown personally and managed to grow different aspects of the Business within my branch too.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement. Even though my title was Intern, I was given the same treatment and responsibility as the Graduate Management Trainees which massively helped with my growth. I was responsible for different aspects of the operation of the Business, in particular being Area Growth Captain which is an area I have an interest in.
Support & Guidance
I had monthly 1-1's with my Branch Manager and was always made to feel comfortable asking for help and guidance with things. I also had 2 calls with my Placement Advisor at Uni for updates.
Culture
The atmosphere at Enterprise was always great as everyone is of a similar age therefore its so easy to make friends and get on well with the people your working with, making the job even more enjoyable.
Your Impressions
I have enjoyed my placement year so much. I moved down to Reading from my hometown to work with Enterprise for my Placement year not knowing anyone living nearby and have come out with some great friendships and great memories, along with lots of new knowledge to apply to Business in the future and in my final year at Uni.
Yes
Its a time consuming job which requires a high level of motivation and keenness to succeed. With this, your career prospects and success within Enterprise in unlimited.
