    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Day to day I lead on my owned project which is a strategy to help my team once I leave. I also shadow and lead meetings every day whilst networking and learning about different roles and business units. The end goal is to present my project to my team and peers at the end of the 10 weeks, putting my knowledge to the test and showing all I have learnt in the process.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes I have sole control of my project as well as introduction to external agencies and partners where I am responsible for creating the strategy for my project. Also responsible for extra capabilities around my project such as launching of marketing placements and circulation of internal surverys.

  • Guidance and support is up to the person you can have as little or as much as you would like from your team leader, the wider team or external networks. I also had a buddy and two mentors who supported me for the entirety of the process.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Culture is great everyone is very willing to connect and have a chat/ share their carreer progression and experineces. Amex also fosters an inclusive culture with a few networks and opportunities to socialise outside of work.

  • Albeit slightly stressful and very fast paced the support from peers and social opportunities were vast overall giving me a positive experince
