    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Days to day work is split into 3 different sections: placement, self led learning and a business project. Placement is work within the specific intern role you applied to, self led learning usually occurs twice a week for an afternoon you can explore the Intranet and courses (e.g data camp or agile learning methodology), and the business project is completed collaboratively with your peers over the course of 8 weeks with an allotted time of 2 afternoons each week.

  • Excel expertise has been developed, knowledge of the retail banking market. Presentation skills have also been improved on throughout workshops and the ability to connect with confidence to other team members

  • Yes, particularly creating and presenting reports to help managers, of which my contributions were compiled into a bigger report which went to senior leaders.

  • A lot of support is provided at NatWest, whether its through your line manager or your managers manager, your other teams members or fellow interns and grads. As well as the early careers team of course
