Overview
Most of mornings are spent in sessions (practice overviews, training etc), and then you sit with a principal in a practice area and get set work. There are also assessed tasks which are based on mainstream corporate M&A case studies. There is a group client pitch exercise that takes place over one day, and plenty of socials organised in the evening.
Skills
I’ve developed lots of skills such as time management, commercial awareness, confidence and resilience. Great insight into real deals and work getting done in your team.
Business Insight
We had the opportunity to learn about the wider functioning of the firm e.g innovation, business teams, DEI.
Culture
Everyone was friendly and very invested in your learning and development. However, some people did seem quite stressed out.
Your Impressions
It was a really well structured insight and I have gone away with a lot more knowledge on the firm and what it would be like to be a lawyer there.
