Overview
My role as a summer analyst is to update client pitch decks, perform data cuts and presentations for team members and to generally support the whole team with tasks they need to be done. During all of this my role is essentially to absorb and learn as much as possible, especially from a sales side on client calls.
Skills
Loads, networking skills, excel and powerpoint skills, time management skills, stress management skills, attention to detail and general people skills enhancing my emotional intelligence
Responsibilities
Yes loads, I was even allowed to pitch a particular product to a client which is very rare for a summer intern in any entity.
Support & Guidance
Loads, formally I had check-ins/reviews 3 times a week whilst getting constant on the job feedback from my managers and team colleagues of how to improve but also teaching me on how to do certain tasks.
Culture
Excellent. everyone's friendly and everyone's willing to help. The responsibility i got was nothing short of incredible and I loved the friendly atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I loved the whole experience, how much I learnt, all the different opportunities. The experience will 100% shape my professional career for the better and has opened my eyes up to loads of different things.
