Overview
Day to day is networking, shadowing, data analysis, making PowerPoint slides for internal and external meetings, and admin tasks.
Skills
Developed existing technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, PowerPoint) and social skills (networking, approaching people for conversation in-office, calls, etc.) Learned new skills, such as soft skills in-office, email management, professional time management, etc.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was allowed to help out on client presentations and other meaningful tasks with a direct impact on the business.
Support & Guidance
A lot, but you have to ask for it - which is a good thing
Culture
Amazing, everyone is approachable and great to work with. It genuinely surprised me when I first got here just how nice everyone was, and how much they are all willing to help you learn.
Your Impressions
Haven't finished yet, luckily! That said, so far it's been so enjoyable every day - there is always someone new to meet or something new to do.
Yes
Be yourself, both in interviews and at work (but still be professional, of course). Be eager to learn, and demonstrate it constantly through being inquisitive and proactive - put your hand up to do something you've never done before.
