Overview
There is a business project that you work on with other interns and do a presentation at the end. There is a placement with a team, I worked in DS&I where I was doing research for a review paper and calibrating a large language model. The main thing to get out of the internship in my opinion, is to talk to as many different people as possible to gauge what you want to do.
Skills
Yeah, I feel more confident when approaching office environment and reaching out to people. I also completed multiple DataCamp courses, which I have a certificate for. I acquired a new skill in reviewing academic papers and writing out my notes.
Responsibilities
I was given responsibility to review papers for the DS&I academic review paper, which felt good. I am not sure if my recommendations are going to be acted on, but it felt good to be given that task
Support & Guidance
That is the best thing about my internship. I felt the environment created is very supportive and allows me to learn quickly. If I needed help with something I would simply need to reach out to someone and everyone is really friendly, even the heads!
Culture
The company culture was great, very supportive and encourage you to learn new skills as much as possible. Lots of resources available
Your Impressions
To a large extent I enjoyed my internship and I hope to come back, as the people you work with are great.
Yes
Make sure you know what the CPC's are and find specific examples that demonstrate those competencies, as that is what they are looking for in your interview.
