Overview
Supporting the advisory team with ESG positioning of firms in M&A and IPO deals. Supporting the team by creating internal materials on the trends and regulations in the ESG landscape. On a day to day basis it involves ESG peer analyses, drafting of transition plans for firms, remaining updated on the latest regulations and the creation of marketing and internal materials for the above.
Skills
Being a curious person I was able to enjoy the role as it involves a lot of research. I greatly developed my attention to details, since my role required in-depth analyses of ESG reports and other documents, often more than 100-page long. I increased my technical skills on powerpoint and excel as those were the tools I used on a day to day basis. I learnt and increased my ability to summarize long pieces of information in bullet points
Responsibilities
I was placed on requests for proposals and pitches for IPOs, both of which had tight deadlines. I was tasked to do the peer analysis and the draft of the transition plan of a firm
Support & Guidance
I could count on my buddy and the analysts for support. I also received support from my line manager, although I did not directly work with him
Culture
The culture is relaxed and the people are easy-going. They expect a lot but are also ready to offer support to make you learn new things
Your Impressions
I did enjoy my internship as it offered the unmatched opportunity of meeting people from various teams. I had the opportunity to work on things I had very little knowledge of, such as how sustainability is relevant in IPOs and M&A deals
Yes
