Overview
Editing slide-decks, finding potential investment opportunities that we can pitch to sponsors, updating trading comps, creating company profiles, consulting-esque work looking at key risks and mitigants or value creation levers for companies. Read loads of broker reports and digest their info quickly and accurately. Nomura sets itself apart in the internship experience with the intern project - gives you a lot of freedom to focus on interesting part (valuation, comps)
Skills
Efficieny and speed regarding digesting information. Understanding what is essential and what is not. Excel, PowerPoint shortcuts and skills. Understanding of FactSet.
Responsibilities
Decently so, attended client calls that focused around my work.

Buddy system is great depending on who you get. Mine was great, team is great and get along very well with everybody.

Hours are long - its IB. But overall very enjoyable, good intern class and team make it all worth it
