Overview
I was put in the GPS and was given plenty of work from multiple members of the team. My roles included gathering data, creating visuals and formatting market insight reports. Working with Knight Frank Softwares. I went on site visits and gathered data from KF employees in other offices for Mark-to-market reports. Group meetings with other interns for our AI Project. Attending talks from Department Heads to learn more about the business and their services.
Skills
Developed my team working and presentation skills in the group project. Developed my data gathering and analysis skills working with the strategic consultancy team. Developed my excel skills.
Responsibilities
Yes. The first week was more smaller jobs but when the team had explained the basics of the department and seen the level of your work, and our capability, we were given more and more responsibility as the internship progressed
Support & Guidance
Everyone on the team was very helpful and happy to answer any questions. We were also able to reach out to people in any of the other departments we were interested in, who were also very happy to speak to us - members of my team were also happy to suggest names of people for the departments i was interested in. There is also a dedicated early careers team who were in frequent contact with us.
Culture
The office was lively and welcoming. It was a very people focused business and everyone was happy to have a chat, even with the temporary interns.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the placement. Not only did I get on well with the team I was placed in, but the cohort of interns I was with were great as well. I think they selected a great group of applicants for the scheme. They also arranged various social and networking events for us, such as an Intern BBQ, as well as networking breakfasts/lunches
Yes
Knight Frank are very people oriented, so although grades and experience are important, they will also look for someone personable and genuinely interested in the company and industry.
