Overview
I am an intern in the ABS department. This involved working on audits. Within this, I learnt and performed various tests required within an audit. I also reviewed several accounts to ensure data is correct. I communicated directly with clients and reviewed documentation they sent us.
Skills
- excel skills developed - communication with collegues and clients - confidence - learning various different types of audit test. - time management- working to deadlines.
Responsibilities
Yes. I was given responsibility for various essential tests and had the responsibility of contacting clients directly for information needed.
Support & Guidance
There was lots of support given as everyone was very friendly and happy to help. Managers and associates on the client i was on gave me lots of support and answered all questions i had.
Culture
Very very friendly. Everyone is always happy to talk to you and help. Quite a relaxed workplace too.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my time here. 6 weeks flew by very quickly. I learnt a lot about audit and the processes involved and got lots of experience and confidence to take into future roles.
Yes
When applying, the focus is mainly on how you can apply any skills you have from any activites/work you have done to different problems. You are not expected to have any idea what you are doing when you first join and have very detailed training while you are there. Focus on how you applied skills to stuff you have already done in the interview/application.
