Overview
Working on two rotation desks; shadowing, completing projects and taking part in various activities and cohort wide events to build relevant skills.
Skills
The main skills I developed were analytical skills like coding, ability to communicate effectively, ability to work under pressure, manage time and be flexible. Alongside this I have learnt a wide range of practical and theoretical knowledge on financial markets and the various products the bank trades such as equities, rates, credit and derivatives.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities were largely based on project work undertaken for the desks you work for, I was given analytical work and built tools to aid the desk in their day-to-day activities.
Support & Guidance
There is a great deal of support and guidance as well as lots of opportunities to be involved in things with the desk on a day to day basis
Culture
Fantastic culture, everyone is very welcoming and supportive and wants to invest time in you and spend time letting you shadow and ask questions.
Your Impressions
