Overview
The day to day role changes depending on what is higher on the priority list. Sometimes this could be doing HAZOP preparation or isolation and immobilisation preparation. The HAZOP required new drawings to be completed sometimes. Other times P&IDS needed to be reviewed for isolation and immobilisation procedures.
Skills
Teamwork skills, HAZOP skills
Responsibilities
In the beginning there wasn't much responsibility given but after 4/5 months more responsibility was given.
Support & Guidance
Lots of different people were given as points of contact.
Culture
The company was having lots of job cuts so atmosphere sometimes felt uneasy for a lot of people and moral was not always amazing. However majority of the people I met were very supportive.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it more as time went by but initially was left feeling very lost and unguided. After speaking to few people things picked up and got better.
Yes
To take as many opportunities as you can.
