Overview
I would receive different trainings from team members and those in UKFS teams nationwide. I would then be able to assist on deals, using these skills that I had used. I would interact with my team regularly, shadowing deals and giving input where I could. On top of this I would meet virtually with interns from other regions to complete a business project, as well as attending different spotlight sessions
Skills
Yes. In the technical sense I have learnt lots of skills such as financial modelling and how to create financial tables. More broadly, I have improved my networking and collaboration skills, my ability to analyse propositions and critically review them, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
Yes. Since my team deals in very high value deals, obviously there was only so much that I could be trusted. However, my team would trust me with any task that I believed I was capable of and assist me with these tasks where I needed it. I did lots of work that contributed to live deals
Support & Guidance
Constant trainings from people in UKFS teams around the nation. My own team would always take the time to teach me skills or explain anything that I didn't understand. So I received support and guidance daily
Culture
Very friendly - people from all departments always took the time to help me. Clear care about early careers
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only did I learn so much, but I met some incredibly interesting people
Yes
