Overview
I was an intern, so it was quite varied but a typical day would usually involve attending a training session or an introductory session to one of the departments. I would then go and sit my trainer and do any work i have been assigned. Later in the day I would attend a group meeting for our assessed presentation. Some days I would go for coffee chats!
Skills
Definitely! I gained a load of technical knowledge firstly - so definitely developed the skill of understand complex topics and asking the right questions to develop my understanding. I also further developed my collaborative skill through the group presentation task. Lastly, I learnt how to navigate extremely tricky legislation.
Responsibilities
A fair amount, of course anything I worked on that might actually be used went through checks but I feel as if I was given responsibility from the jump!
Support & Guidance
So much! From my trainers, to my trainee buddy everyone was so open to offering support and guidance whether that had to do with the work I was doing or beyond.
Culture
Amazing! Everyone was nice and approachable.
Your Impressions
