Overview
Worked in a small team to roll out a proof of concept AI chatbot. Worked on creating a Power BI dashboard to present data. Presented the project to exec committee to update C-Suite on the status of the project.
Skills
Power BI; went from never having heard of it to creating a functional self-updating dashboard. Refined and developed Excel skills. Presentation skills.
Responsibilities
Given my own task to work on throughout. Good amount of responsibility allocated to me for an intern, I was not expecting the seriousness of work. However the pressure was helpful and despite this I would not say I was "thrown into the deep end"; the team was extremely supportive and patient with us. Often given control of my own work with reasonable oversight.
Support & Guidance
Maximum. There was always someone willing to help when I needed it. Not only that, but I really value the fact that there is always an expert on hand to help me with whatever I'm trying to learn.
Culture
Very flat structure, everyone around me is very supportive and helpful. Not just in my team, but if I messaged a stranger on Teams, they would get back to me as best they could and were always willing to meet for a coffee for advice.
Your Impressions
Loved the internship. 10/10
