Overview
Drainage design using Civils 3D, survey analysis, preparation of tender/contract documentation, internal/client meetings, site visits, report writing & CPD events.
Skills
Interpersonal skills, technical ability, commercial awareness & competency in various design software.
Responsibilities
Responsibility from day one. Arup tend to treat their placement students like graduates which exposes us to challenging tasks and accelerates our development.
Support & Guidance
The team at Arup where always more than happy to lend a hand and explain any questions that I asked during the year. My colleagues understood that deepening my knowledge on various subjects benefits the team as a whole.
Culture
Working at Arup provided an enriching environment where I could apply my skills and knowledge in Civil Engineering, while learning from a very talented bunch of people.
