Overview
We learnt about the Bloomberg Terminal, what it was, how to use and navigate it, as well as how it helps customers who have a subscription. moreover, to aid our knowledge, current Bloomberg workers taught us about finance, about the terminal, how the life and culture is at the company, about the DE&I values, as well as the overall knowledge and training needed for this position. Also, we had unwavering support from all colleagues if anything was unclear as we learnt a high volume of information.
Skills
I have learnt more communication skills as we were a group of 20 people working together constantly. moreover, i greatly improved my financial knowledge as well as my fintech skills. We learnt respect, leadership, confidence, understanding the customer, and many more skills i will use in my future career.
Business Insight
as it was an insight week, we got to see aspects of different people’s roles in the company in depth. we also shadowed a worker and had the opportunity to see just how a day in the life is at Bloomberg. we also learnt skills from professionals and how a lot of them were in the same place we were at the time.
Culture
the culture felt very open and communicative. they are also very clearly inclusive and i definitely felt that when working there for the short amount of time that i did. everyone was friendly and respectful.
Your Impressions
I greatly enjoyed it as it gave me a feel of how i see my future career going. although it was at times a bit stressful as you are given a lot of knowledge all at once, over the week you learn how to navigate all the information.

make the most of the courses given prior to the Insight Week as they are very helpful in giving financial knowledge and guidance .
