Overview
Streamlined service line operations. Facilitated Gen AI workshops on projects.
Skills
In my role, I did not have enough opportunities to further develop my technical skills despite being proactively asking around. However, I did develop presentation and event management skills. I also learned how to engage with senior leadership and understand the business decisions that at a senior level.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility that had an internal business impact but I was not given much responsibility for client-facing projects.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from my foundation manager, task manager and mentor.
Culture
Everyone is very friendly and everyone appreciates proactive efforts to learn.
Your Impressions
On a scale of 10, I enjoyed 7/10. I was very disappointed to learn that IBM doesn't accept graduate visas and it is very difficult to get visa sponsorship through the company at a grad level.
Yes
- Be proactive in seeking what you want to explore and learn instead of getting stuck doing things you don't think are value additions. - Ask, ask and ask. If you don't ask you don't get. - if you are an international student, don't keep your expectations high for a job back as IBM does not accept graduate visas and it is very hard to get visa sponsorship.
