Overview
We were a sector team and not a generalist one. On the day-to-day basis, I was looking for financial information of companies and overview of the sector in order to impute into an excel file. I made several company profiles, worked on desks, attended meetings with Analysts, Associates, Vice Presidents and Executive Directors. At the end of the internship, I presented a project in front of the whole team on a subject given to me.
Skills
I strengthened my team spirit. Investment Banking a job where the contribution of everyone counts in the chain and we should facilitate tasks for superiors. At the end of this internship, I leave with good knowledge of my sector, thanks to the discussions I had with my team and the projects in which I was involved. I improved my Excel and Powerpoint skills thanks to the feedback on my job and I also became more open to others and learned from the diversity around me
Responsibilities
Over time, I had more and more responsibility. I took well this aspect because it was a sign that I was doing a great job and people trusted me with my performance. It is also a good way to improve yourself because the more tasks you have, the more you can develop new skills and better understand the sector. Even being in a sector team, each task is new and we learned day by day
Support & Guidance
My team was really nice. Everyone was really supportive and benevolent. Even when they were busy, they made the effort to answer our questions, which I appreciated. The investment banking job is very difficult and working with people who value your person and efforts is priceless
Culture
There is a beautiful culture, a lot of respect in interactions and moments of relaxation
