Overview
The day-to-day activities were very interesting. They taught me important skills regarding how to operate within a big business and how to manage an existing service. I acquired financial knowledge across private, primary and secondary markets, providing a strong understanding LSEG does. There was a lot of freedom in communicating what I wanted to learn, and my expectations were not only met but exceeded.
Skills
Soft Skills: Learning how to operate within a big organisation, presentation skills, time management skills, and the like. Hard Skills: Learning how to use Microsoft 365, as well as coding in Python and SQL
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility, whether in the tasks I was able to take, and the individuals I was able to speak to. This made the internship very enjoyable, as I was able to push myself, and learn as much as possible within this opportunity. I am looking forward to hopefully come back and continue my learning in LSEG.
Support & Guidance
Support was given frequently from my people leader, HR and the wider team. This allowed me to develop my skills, and to always continue asking questions. I loved the amount of growth that LSEG provided me in the internship and I am looking forward to hopefully continuing to grow here next here. This is a fabulous place to obtain feedback.
Culture
Very good. The culture makes a difference. This was a highlight. People always want to help, treat others with respect and does all to make you appreciated.
Your Impressions
I loved it and would love and hope to come back!
Yes
Make sure you put time to answer the application questions well. Don't be afraid of the assessment centre, they are just looking to see who you could be, not what you know!
