Overview
Taking on work surrounding clients in for employees BW Investment and Actuarial roles. This involved initial training into BW systems and excel, then progressed onto doing client work. This mainly involved the use of excel and research skills.
Skills
I have developed my excel skills, learnt a lot about the pension industry, and taken on a few presentations.
Responsibilities
There was a lot of responsibility given regarding managing workload and completing jobs. However, this is within the framework of having mentors and many people to turn to if help is needed.
Support & Guidance
There was a lot of guidance- mentors and supervisors for each student. Alongside this, the rest of BW was very welcoming.
Culture
Everyone is extremely friendly and kind. People knew my name and made note to have conversations to welcome me, even at lunch.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the scope of work and the BW culture. It has been an enjoyable and educational experience.
