The Role
Loved it.
My team are very supportive, brilliant and I have had feedback supporting myself as a valued team member.
Whenever needed, support was available.
When I started, work was less balanced but was able to gain increased workload after proving myself capable, occasionally had a good deal of work but was able to cope.
Was a key financial analyst / accountant for a part of the business. I had control of finances and was responsible for factual reporting.
Whilst skills were not essential to my role, I have been able to pick up and further my understanding around key skills and knowledge.
The Company
There are a good number of interns and full time members of staff are just as friendly. Everybody is always happy to help.
IBM have employees who specialise in the running of the Foundation (internship) scheme. They run if incredibly well and look after interns regardless of the matter.
IBM have fantastic e-learning and training packages available and were more than happy to invest in training that would develop your skills.

Working from home
Am in the process of applying for the graduate scheme. I would be thrilled to be hired back for IBM in either finance or sales.
The Culture
Social nights out are great and the friends that I have made I will keep in touch with for a long time.
The location that I was based was relatively cheap. I had a decent rent package from my landlord and was paid plenty to cover the costs. I have even managed to save for a new car on top!
Great selection of bars and nightclubs as well as cinema's, bowling etc. Something for everyone.
IBM encourage participation in a variety of giveback activities which range from community work to working in secondary schools. The gym that I joined, for example, is always encouraging participation in various activities.
