Overview
Assessing the different types of risks that the business can be exposed to and the controls that are used to manage these e.g. supporting the updating of the company's 45 policy's and documenting them on excel, using a pivot table to ensure data accuracy. Understanding the frameworks, committees and standards that support M&G to conduct its affairs to meet regulatory requirements e.g. communicating with different committee organisers on committee and paper submission dates, as well as helping organising a list of people to attend the RCC committee. Getting involved in supporting business developments and projects from a Risk & Compliance perspective, and ensuring they are providing good outcomes for customers e.g. helping update the apprentice induction pack by identifying and implementing relevant information and creating a user friendly guide they can refer back to, also through my intern group project where we meet with relevant stakeholders to discuss advisor frustrations and came up with actionable solutions to increase advisor retention that we presented back to the business.
