Overview
My role was procurement of products for business units such as British Gas and PH Jones. I looked at sourcing of materials and supply chain management, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Skills
I developed Analytical and technological skills such as excel and SAP Ariba. Communication was a large part of my job communicating internally and externally, learning how to communicate with a wide range of people was a key learning. Teamwork, working within large and small teams helped my teamwork and agility between teams, having the responsibility to lead some teams was a great experience.
Responsibilities
Yes i was given responsibility within my job role, learning in a small team of three. When colleagues were on annual leave i was given a great deal of responsibility to engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities to present and learn throughout the 9 weeks was a large responsibility.
Support & Guidance
The first week there was a large amount of support to onboard new starters. When starting my role my manager was very good at maintaining an open line of communication with me which really helped me to learn more about my role.
Culture
the work form home culture was very relaxed and with a large work form home cultures which was a small shock. everyone was very friendly and supportive with everyone being more than happy to have a conversation with.
Your Impressions
