Overview
Worked in the treasury team, supported financial analysis by carrying out tasks on excel as well as carrying out two individual internal research projects lasting the whole internship.
Skills
Increased proficiency in excel and PowerBI as well as becoming a more confident presenter and improving time management skills.
Responsibilities
I was given a fair amount of responsibility, being delegated tasks with deadlines that were important to function of my team
Support & Guidance
I was given plenty of resources to support my learning and understanding throughout the internship. There was online resources available such as courses and previous documents and presentations as well as my tea being happy to teach me and answer any questions I had.
Culture
I found it to be a welcoming and supportive workplace with everyone I spoke to being friendly and approachable. I felt that I was valued and was given work with a purpose.
Your Impressions
I genuinely enjoyed this placement, I was interested in the work I was doing and there was a good balance of being given enough work but not too much to manage. There was lots of social opportunities with other interns and meeting graduates.
Yes
To research the company and the different areas within business, there are a lot of different operations and career opportunities. I wish that I had more of an idea of the structure and intricacies of the business before I started.
