Overview
Gained an insight into different hubs across Tax, Audit Support and Advisory within the Shared Service Centre in Liverpool. Shadowed staff, completed case studies and worked on a group project.
Skills
I feel that I've developed my communication skills considerably and gained a good insight into accountancy.
Responsibilities
Due to being in the Shared Service Centre and moving around so many hubs, we didn't complete any live work and were mostly doing training and shadowing. However, this meant we gained a lot of knowledge and insight across a range of roles.
Support & Guidance
Had weekly one to one sessions with my manager which were helpful to reflect and receive advice.
Culture
The culture at BDO was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful and it was a relaxed office.
