Overview
I am supporting on projects and working on deliverables which makes up my billable workload, but I also support on practice engagements such as proposals and bids which are important for development. I generally interact with the same people as you are aligned to one team, and the people I work with are very supportive.
Skills
I have developed my analytical skills as this job generally requires a very high attention to detail. Clients have high expectations and you must support management to the best of your ability.
Responsibilities
It depends on the project and how demanding it is. Generally speaking, consultants have a fairly simple job when working on deliverables, however it is important to have sight of and understand the long-term strategic goals of the client and how this feeds into the work. When you understand this, your responsibilities may increase and it is up to you to manage the workload effectively and utilise your support network.
Support & Guidance
I feel as though the support you receive is greater if you seek it out, but there are so many people that are willing to help you grow at this company. If you can develop meaningful relationships with your superiors, it is very beneficial to your growth and in terms of the opportunities you can find.
Culture
The company culture is very inspiring and makes you feel comfortable. You are empowered to make mistakes as long as you learn from them and they can push you really hard if you want it. The atmosphere in the office is fantastic. It's busy, and the people are very friendly.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I made some incredibly meaningful connections and the work I did helped me to grow exponentially. I felt as though I was adding real value to my projects.

I would say to really showcase your curiosity and your eye for detail. Be honest and show you are someone that is a pleasure to work alongside.
